0-2s Stay and Play
The Stay and Play team look after 0-2s and their grown-ups. They help facilitate a safe and caring environment for tired parents and very small children by coming alongside them in prayer and through play.
What will I be doing?
The 0-2s Stay and Play is a space where parents can bring their very young children during morning meetings and afternoon sessions for some rest and refreshing. We'd love families to leave the Stay and Play feeling valued and cared for. As a team member, you'll be chatting with parents and carers, playing with toddlers and babies, cleaning and tidying toys and refreshments, and helping foster a safe and caring environment for young families.
Is this the right team for me?
As part of this team, it’s helpful if you’re someone who is friendly and who enjoys playing with very young children, and also praying and caring for tired grown-ups! Also, we’d love people to serve who have a good ability to keep oversight of a large busy space, keep things clean and welcoming, and have a discerning eye on where pastoral care could be needed.
It’s a varied role and perfect for parents with young children themselves (you can bring them with you!) or those who have a heart to care practically and pastorally for young families.
Serving here has the added benefit of allowing you to hear some of what is going on in the Big Top (due to the livestream) and doesn’t involve any evening shifts. Servers on this team would be expected to have a personal faith that they are able and willing to share.
Please be aware that we will be taking references from your church leaders for servers in this team.
How much will I be serving?
4 shifts across the event (average shift length approx. 3 hours). Some of these shifts will be during the main meeting times.
