Leadership Development

If we’re to grow to hundreds of churches we’ll need several hundreds of leaders to be identified, developed and released!

A key initiative has been to develop a way of helping leaders and potential leaders to think about what Christian leadership means; and this can apply both within the church and in broader Kingdom perspectives including the workplace. It’s called the Leadership Framework and can be downloaded below.

We have developed a series of tools that work alongside the Framework - a set of Conversation Cards to help stimulate regular leadership development discussions between leaders and potential leaders. The cards can also be downloaded below.

Conversation cards

In this season of disconnection we're finding lots of creative new ways to connect across our churches, and if you're thinking you want to use some of your time to connect remotely with potential or growing leaders in your church, here's an electronic copy of the Leadership Conversation Cards. These can be viewed or used on your phone, ipad or laptop - and can be used to prompt mentoring / discipleship discussions in Zoom / Facetime calls or just good old-fashioned phone calls. You don't have to follow the cards in order - you can pick any questions that seem useful or suit the person you're talking to - choosing from questions about their Character, Calling or Capability as a leader. We hope you find these useful!

Leadership Framework

This guide accompanies the Leadership Conversation Cards, and gives tips on how to use them, as well as broader ideas on how to develop leaders in your local church. In the new year, we'll also be releasing course material if you want to take another step forward in raising leaders, but the Leadership Framework and Conversation Cards are a quick and easy starting point.
