The Safeguarding team are there to provide 24-hour cover for any issues that arise during Commission Festival event relating to any children or adult disclosures. 

What will I be doing? 

The Safeguarding team will principally involve responding to issues that arise across the event relating to any children or vulnerable adult disclosures. As a team member you’ll be helping with team briefings to give appropriate safeguarding guidelines and training, documenting disclosures and coordinating contact and advice for any safeguarding concerns regarding a child or vulnerable adult. 

Is this the right team for me? 

For this team it is important that you have experience in safeguarding as well as an understanding of key terms and safe working practices for children and youth workers. As this role encompasses sensitive and potentially volatile situations, it will be important that you are not only able to handle confrontation but also are able to remain calm and gracious under pressure. You will also be required to complete a DBS, self-disclosure and please be aware that we will be taking references from your church leader.

How much will I be serving? 

Approx 4 shifts across the event and possibility of being on-call overnight.
