Medical

The Medical team support the First Aid team in responding to accidents, injuries and other medical situations during the event. Team members must be currently working in a clinical role, i.e. doctor, nurse, paramedic, etc.

What will I be doing?

As a member of the Medical  team your role will involve responding to medical incidents as per the First Aid team. The distinction is that you’ll be providing a second-tier service to support the First Aid team with more complicated injuries and illnesses or in medical emergencies. You’ll also be on-call overnight on a rota basis.

Is this the right team for me?

As your role in this team will require supporting and supervising members of the First Aid team, you will need to be currently working in one of the following clinical roles with appropriate professional registration: medical doctor, paramedic or nurse. You’ll also need to be able to use basic and advanced first aid equipment including bag-valve mask and automated defibrillator. Personal qualities such as remaining calm under pressure and being personable and cheerful with delegates are also important in this role. You will also be required to complete a DBS, self-disclosure and please be aware that we will be taking references from your church leader.

How much will I be serving?

On a rota, over the course of the event covering: 3 x 4.5 hour shifts, or 2 x 4.5 hour shifts and one overnight on-call.
