Highlights from our first ‘Equipping the Prophets’ event last month.
How do I hear God?
How do I know it is God?
What does Commission think of the prophetic?
What do I do if my pastor is a good pastor but not comfortable with the prophetic?
What is a Prophetic Team?
What do I do with these prophetic words I am feeling?
How do I connect with other prophets?
Why are we sitting around round tables?!
These were just some of the questions posed by more than 100 delegates from 20 Commission churches who travelled to Hope Church Winchester for the inaugural ‘Equipping the Prophets’ event.
Equipping the Prophets day
Big shout out to the team from Torquay, who travelled the furthest.
Early on in the day, some of the feedback was:
“Such expectation in the room…Wow, this is supercharged…this is amazing - such hunger for God…these guys really want to go for it…oh my goodness 100 prophets in the room at the same time… I have never experienced anything like this before…”
The effervescent Phoebe Gubb and the Hope band led worship, providing a beautiful and powerful platform for the day and making it easy to encounter God.
Teaching
2 sessions by Ian Hodgson from Basingstoke helped frame the discussions and the values as a family of churches: 1. The Prophets Life & 2. Prophecy in the Local Church.
These sessions brought into sharp focus 2 frequently questions asked:
how to hear God and how to deliver what He says….
These sessions were followed by lively table discussion and searching Q&A which kept Hannah Leavers from Guildford on her toes with the roving mic.
Prophetic Workshop
In the afternoon, Russell White from Bournemouth conducted a real-time Prophetic Workshop using prophetic words on the day—how to weigh a word, how it aligns with scripture, etc.…brilliant and practical.
The final session was no surprise: 100 stirred prophets in one room, glorious worship fuelled by good teaching and Boom! Song after song, prophetic word after prophetic word – call to intimacy, call to prayer, call to the poor, call to the nations, call for healing…
The day concluded with prophetic encouragement and commissioning for those in the room to return home to bless the churches and towns from which they had come.

The Future?
“What is next? And “When is the next one?” were questions at the end…
And amongst the feedback was Karen from Bristol:
“I was a bit taken aback by the intensity of God’s power on me”
